To celebrate 85 years of Paskenta Pioneer Day, we've made some changes!

We're switching to online entries!
Enter early online, skip the line and a fee. In the past we have manually entered every horse and rider, it takes time and mistakes happen in a hurry. As of this year there will be a DAY OF ENTRY FEE . To ensure a smooth transition online entries will be open until Thursday April 23rd, 2026, please call/text (530)586-1434 for any questions regarding online entries.

Trail Horse
Welcoming George Archer, Backcountry Horsemen of California-Wilderness Rider, as our 2026 Trail Horse Judge!
Trail course will be announced on the day of, along with a trail meeting with the judge.
Trail Horse is a high point event, and custom handmade Paskenta Pioneer Day Trail Horse halter & lead trophyawarded to 1st place of each age division.
